Description
We are excited to host the 2020 WEP Film Festival, where renowned scientists will introduce and lead discussions for a range of educational documentaries and fictional film screenings related to this year’s theme ‘Personalized Medicine’.
Can you imagine having a sixth sense? As technology adapts, invades or transforms our bodies, our perception of what makes us human changes. An insightful film that introduces us to the first cyborgs, the human creatures that have implanted electronic circuits in them, trying to transcend their biological boundaries. A documentary that makes us rethink what science fiction really means.
Prof. Khaled Salama, co-Chair of WEP, will introduce this film and Dr. Elsa Sotiriadis aka "The Biofuturist" lead the discussion of this screening.
