This workshop will give an overview of different patent search resources available, with a focus on PatBase Express (subscribed database). The session will include hands-on exercises to aid participants to become effective patent searchers.

Janis Tyhurst

Janis Tyhurst is the Senior Subject Specialist at KAUST’s library. She liaises with the CEMSE faculty to develop collections, resources and programs in addition to providing instruction for these areas. She has developed targeted seminar training for students and researchers on resources in respective areas highlighting value of patent and business resources for research and intellectual property (IP) development.
