Where: Conference Room 2290, Spine (Bldg. 4)
Description
Have you ever wondered what makes our beautiful campus so special?
Join us at this Sustainable City tour to learn more about our intelligent, sustainable, and yet stunning campus. KAUST is one of the leading project in the Middle East. With its innovative design and technical complexity, this campus of 21 academic and administration buildings is designed and built to reach high environmental performance.
During this guided tour, we will rediscover the iconic solar towers, solar plants, control rooms, natural lighting and shading architecture on campus, and will gain an understanding of how our campus reduced water consumption and how smart landscaping and gardening reduces the need for supplemental irrigation.
Breakfast will be available at the end of the tour in the room 2290. Have fun making your own tasty smoothie on a bicycle operated smoothie machine!
A Walk Through KAUST is an Enrichment Programs initiative in collaboration with KAUST Sustainability Program Office.
