Description
This two-part workshop will equip early career researchers currently undertaking MA and Ph.D. level studies with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently engage in communicating their research and building their professional profile online - through activity across digital and social media, as well as more traditional media. Whether destined for industry or academia, this workshop will maximize the attendee’s potential to leverage a variety of mediums for their own career advancement in a comfortable, considerate, and time-effective way in the face of their many competing responsibilities.
Jason Power
Dr. Power's research focuses on cognitive and non-cognitive factors that impact performance within STEM learning environments. He has led multiple international research projects and has an extensive catalogue of research publications. He also regularly engages with national media on topics related to technology and the environment.
Tony Sheridan
Tony Sheridan has been working in the field of marketing and communications for over a decade, primarily within the Higher Education sector, specializing in social media communications and digital marketing campaigns.
A former Director of Marketing and Communications for Limerick Mental Health Association, he also has worked extensively as a consultant across the non-profit, community, and charity sectors helping organizations set ambitious marketing and communications goals, develop effective strategies and deliver strategic results.
Tony joined KAUST in April 2021 and since then his work has been recognized with multiple international Marketing and Communications awards.
