Description
This course will focus on Intellectual Property considerations in food, water, energy, and the environment are rapidly expanding. This course aims at enriching and broadening the knowledge and the experience of graduate students and the larger community on the important topic of IP. The course will consider IP issues to cover concepts related to Trade Secrets, Copyright, Trademarks, and Patents.
Mardson Mcquay
Mardson McQuay is Associate General Counsel and Senior IP Attorney at KAUST. He is a former tenured professor of Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University and Senior VP and Chief IP Counsel at CGG, France. He also spent four years as an Associate in a law firm and five years as a Senior IP attorney at GE. He has been an invited lecturer on the topic of IP all over the world.
