The closing date for registrations to this event is January 3rd 2015. A technical curriculum will be given to students over the 4 days seminar on the technical design, operation and evaluation of Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis technology used commonly in desalination plants. Students will be trained on how to use projection software, be able to model a full scale desalination plant and calculate Capital and Operating expenditure to produce a full life cycle cost of designing and building a desalination plant. Students will be working in teams throughout the workshop to design each stage of the desalination plant and will present their project at the end of the workshop. Included in the workshop will be a detailed tour of Dow’s water technology centre where a real desalination plant will be visited. Maximum 15 students will be accepted by Dow. Students should apply for the workshop with their CV and also a short covering letter why they would like to take the workshop or what they would like to get from the workshop.
