Description
What do we photograph, Why and for what? What is the difference between taking a picture and making a photograph ? In this 4-session workshop, participants will learn to see photography as a different way of seeing and learn how to look for their own voices as photographers. They will do this by editing their own images and those of others, as well as reviewing and analyzing the work of different authors and try to find possible paths for them to experience the language of photography and see the multiple possibilities available to them as they find their own voice. Participants will also analyze the difference between creating an idea and making pictures, learning to dream up and idea and make it true through photography and imagination, using themes and ideas to make it real. As part of this we will look at understanding and controling light to create diverse atmospheres and how to direct the body language of a model. We also are going to work in teams on creating stories to photograph: shooting a preconceived idea and learning the importance of editing and post-producing our work. Our end result will be to find the correct question to answer visually through stunning photography. Participants must bring DSLR camera at this workshop.Fernando Montiel Klint
