Take a fascinating and interactive look into the world of opera with KAUST School performing arts teacher Louis Courtois. With KAUST soprano Tsiky Randrianantenaina, bass Daniel Binham, and pianist Andrew Yip, Courtois will recount the story of the operas: Handel’s 'Giulio Cesare', Debussy’s 'Pelleas et Melisande' and Puccini’s ‘Turandot'. They will look into operatic voices, stories and perform some extracts. These are short biographies of the performers: Tsiki: Tsiki is originally from Madagascar. She studied in Morocco and is presently completing her studies in KAUST. Tsiki is a soprano who has been singing opera for 3 years. Daniel: Daniel comes from Finland and has been involved in the performing arts for many years, singing , acting, music and this year, for the fist time in opera. Daniel is a graduate student at KAUST. Andrew: Andrew Yip is an accomplished pianist who is very involved in the music scene in KAUST. Louis: Louis was born in Mauritius and completed his schooling and studies in South Africa. He has been singing and performing for many years, especially in the classical scene. Louis is the performing art at KAUST Elementary School.Louis Courtois
