Field trip to NWC - National Water Company, Jeddah Meet at Large Tamimi Supermarket car park at 08:20am. to board the bus. Arrive back at Kaust 15:00 hrs. National Water Company, a Saudi joint stock company fully owned by the government, provides all households in Saudi Arabia with drinking water, wastewater connections, the preservation of natural water resources, the protection of the environment and making maximum use of the Treated Sewage Effluent. www.nwc.com.sa This field trip is linked to the course "Wastewater treatment and reuse in Saudi Arabia: potential & challenges". Students attending the course will be given PRIORITY to attend this field trip. Highlights of Field trip. Short presentation to include general information about the technique, the sight, the design, the served area and people, water quantity and quality, the performance, normal problems, etc. Tour of the Treatment Plant. During the trip attendees MUST wear personal protective clothing provided By NWC. Attendees should inform the speaker/organizer of their shoe size prior to the field trip so that protective footwear can be available on arrival at the NWC.
