Description
This lecture will focus on Shakespeare's Life and Works. More specifically, it will make a case that Shakespeare's entire effectiveness is a result not of topicality and thematic underpinning but of sonic structural significance and the use of imabic pentameters in particular. The lecture will argue the case that Shakespeare has only real value because of the aesthetic quality of the rhythmic structures of the language – above all else. This beauty, it is argued, then takes us into listening to wider aspects of an interesting story…harmlessly.Marcos Bracchitta
