The course will begin with an introduction to industrial history leading up to the introduction of scientific management and the evolution into what has become known as Lean Six Sigma. Following the introduction the course will cover the applied and conceptual aspects of the methodology with some hands-on exercises to better understand the concepts and rigor of Lean Six Sigma. There will be exposure to key problem solving tools and some data analysis techniques will be introduced. Attendees will be required to bring laptop computers running Minitab Statistical Software and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
