Description
Session 1: Evolution of fixed-access communications Session 2: Evolution of wireless communications Session 3: Conclusions and open-discussion session In the two first sessions, a high level overview of the evolution of both fixed access and wireless communication systems will be introduced by the speakers (each in his domain). The two talks will further elaborate on the recent breakthroughs and the future research challenges to improve the end-to-end communication networks. In the last session, we will elaborate on the similarities/differences and accordingly identify the specific challenges for each domain, followed by an open Q&A session. The seminar could be of paramount interest: 1) to the community in general to get a broad idea about communication networks, and 2) to communication researchers in order to define new research axis based on this comparison between the two domains.Mahdi Ben Ghorbel
